Netflix shows: Stranger Things

Stranger Things is the most popular show on Netflix, and it has some serious fall/Halloween vibes for the first two seasons. There’s even a Halloween episode in Stranger Things season 2.

The third season is set during the summer, so it doesn’t exactly fit with this theme, but it’s still awesome.

The series begins with the disappearance of Will Byers and a strange girl with powers in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. From there, things get wild!

If you still haven’t seen this show, now is the time to watch it. Stranger Things season 4 resumes production this fall.

Netflix shows: The Haunting of Hill House

The Haunting of Hill House, to me, is the scariest show on this list. The series is based on the horror novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson.

The series premiered on Netflix and tells the story of the Crain family in dual timelines. When their kids were young, Olivia and Hugh Crain, played by Carla Gugino and Henry Thomas, move into Hill House to renovate it and flip it. Bad things start to happen.

We catch up with the family years later, when weird things start happening again.

The Haunting of Hill House is only one season, but Netflix turned it into an anthology series. The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is the second season of the anthology series, premieres on Netflix on Friday, Oct. 9.
