Cobra Kai season 2 ending explained
Cobra Kai season 1 and season 2 were added to Netflix this summer. Fans are binge-watching the series for the first time on Netflix after the show moved from YouTube to the world’s biggest streaming service.
Cobra Kai season 2 is incredible, and it definitely sets up Cobra Kai season 3. Some fans had a few questions about how the season ended, so let’s talk about it.
At the end of Cobra Kai season 2, Tory learned about Miguel and Sam’s kiss, which she revealed to Robby and the rest of the school. What happens next is wild!
There’s a huge fight with everyone, basically, getting involved, and it leads to another showdown between Miguel and Robby.
Miguel wins, clearly, but instead, he shows Robby mercy, which is a big theme throughout the series and The Karate Kid movies, and it backfires. Robby retaliates and knocks Miguel over a
Is Miguel going to make it? That’s the big question heading into season 3. I think that he will, obviously, but it’s going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.
What happens next and the repercussions of Robby’s actions – and the actions of all the students – will be a huge focus in Cobra Kai season 3.
Another interesting wrinkly is the drama between Johnny and Kreese, who is seen training the Cobra Kais at the dojo. He tells Johnny that the dojo is now his to run, which means Johnny has been effectively forced out. That’s another storyline to watch in the next season.
Is Elisabeth Shue joining Cobra Kai season 3?
At the end of the season, we also see that Ali, played by Elisabeth Shue, has reached out to Johnny. We’ve yet to see Ali in Cobra Kai, but the character was a very big part of the original movies, as fans know.
I think there’s a good chance this last wrinkle could bring Elisabeth Shue into the cast for Cobra Kai season 3. It’s been reported by Murphy’s Multiverse that Shue did film scenes for the new season.
There obviously seems to be a lot of unfinished business with Ali, Johnny, and Daniel. It would be really interesting to see what would happen if Ali is brought back into the mix. Could she bring Johnny and Daniel together? We’ll find out in season 3!
Is Cobra Kai season 3 happening?
Yes, Cobra Kai season 3 is happening, and it’s coming to Netflix.
YouTube was looking for a network to take over the show after the first two seasons, and Netflix stepped in and picked up the series for a third season. Even more seasons are probably in the works at Netflix given how popular the series was on YouTube and when it was added to Netflix earlier this year.
Unfortunately, Cobra Kai season 3 isn’t coming to Netflix soon. You’re going to have to wait until sometime in 2021 to see season 3 on Netflix. Hopefully, Cobra Kai season 3 will be released in the early part of the year, but that’s unclear at this point.
We’ll let you know about the Cobra Kai season 3 release date on Netflix when we find out. Stay tuned for more information about the new season.
