The Christmas Chronicles 2 is coming to Netflix soon!

The streaming network just announced a release date announcement video that The Christmas Chronicles 2 will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020. That’s the day before Thanksgiving Day.

Netflix always saves big movies and shows for the holidays, and this is great news that plan is likely still happening in the middle of the pandemic.

Kurt Russell is back as Santa Claus in The Christmas Chronicles 2 along with Goldie Hawn, who plays Mrs. Claus. Judah Lewis, who recently starred in Netflix’s The Babysitter: Killer Queen, reprises his role of Teddy, while Darby Camp is back as Kate.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley is also back in the sequel. Julian Dennison, best known for his roles in The Hunt for the Wilderpeople and in Deadpool 2, and Jahzir Bruno joined the cast for The Christmas Chronicles 2.

The new Netflix movie takes place a few years after the first movie. When a villainous figure known as Belsnickel tries to stop Christmas, Kate and Teddy must help Santa Claus save Christmas again.

Sounds pretty good to me!

Chris Columbus wrote the screenplay for the movie and also directed The Christmas Chronicles 2.

We had a feeling The Christmas Chronicles 2 would be released around Thanksgiving 2020. Netflix released the first movie around the same time (Nov. 22) in 2018, and it was a mega-hit for Netflix. Millions of viewers tuned in for the first movie, and that’s why Netflix ordered the sequel.

There will be a bunch of Netflix Christmas movies on the way this winter. This is just the beginning of the release date announcements. Stay tuned for more!
