5 Netflix movies to watch if you like The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Netflix released the sequel to The Babysitter, titled The Babysitter: Killer Queen, this week, and it’s one of the best new Netflix movies to watch right now.

After watching the movie, you might want to check out other similar Netflix movies. These films are of the horror-comedy genre. They are filled with lots of gore and humor, along with fits of laughter followed immediately by a jump scare or gruesome scene.

If you enjoy The Babysitter movies, check out these five Netflix movies right now.

1. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

If you are looking for a cult horror-comedy, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil will fit the bill. This film is directed by Eli Craig, who is also responsible for Little Evil (see below) as well as Space Cowboys and The Rage: Carrie 2.

Tucker and Dale are two well-meaning hillbillies that a group of witless college students mistakes for killers. Tyler Labine plays Dale, and Alan Tudyk plays Tucker, and they are just two backwoods boys trying to enjoy a vacation at their cabin in the woods.

Along come a group of college students who take one look at the duo and assume the worst. It is a bloody and hilarious film.

The film debuted at Sundance and won the Might Audience Award at SXSW and Best Motion Picture at Sitges.

It is a perfect horror comedy to start your Halloween viewing season.

2. Little Evil

As mentioned above, Little Evil is also directed by Eli Craig and also falls into the horror-comedy genre.

Starring Adam Scott and Evangeline Lilly along with newcomer Owen Atlas, the film follows Gary Bloom (Scott), who marries Samantha (Lilly), who has a 5-year old son Lucas (Atlas.) Gary never quite connects with Lucas, and as time passes, he believes his new stepson may just be the spawn of satan.

Also starring Bridget Everett, Kyle Bornheimer, Chris D’Elia, Donald Faison, Carla Gallo, Tyler Labine, Brad Williams, Clancy Brown, and Sally Field, this film received 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s another good one to add to your watchlist.

3. A Haunted House

This film is a found-footage parody comedy horror. A Haunted House actually pokes fun at found-footage horror films.

The film stars Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins, Cedric the Entertainer, Nick Swardson, David Koechner, and Dave Sheridan. Wayans also wrote and produced the film.

The film follows a young couple Malcolm (Wayans) and Kisha (Atkins), who move into a new home only to find that is haunted and that a demon possesses Kisha. Trying to salvage his relationship Malcolm enlists the help of paranormal specialists who try to exorcise the demon from his beloved Kisha.

2. He Never Died

Next up is a dark horror-comedy film, He Never Died.  This film is a meld of horror, comedy, supernatural, and crime.

Henry Rollins plays Jack, an immortal cannibal who has withdrawn from society to protect himself and others. He is forced out into society when his blood dealer is threatened by a crime family, and he discovers he has a daughter that needs found.

This is definitely one that might not appeal to everyone. Proceed with caution.

1. The Addams Family

In the 1930s a fictional family called The Addams Family was introduced by cartoonist Charles Addams. A live-action tv series was started in the 1960s that lead to the movies in the 1990s.

Currently streaming on Netflix is the 1991 film The Addams Family. With an all-star cast including Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, and Christopher Lloyd, this film was popular with kids of the 90s but also their parents who watched the tv series as children.

This film is more comedy than horror but a good one to round out this list with.
