Tiger King’s Carole Baskin joins Dancing with the Star season 29
Tiger King star Carole Baskin has joined the cast of Dancing With the Stars season 29, according to a report from TV Line.
There were rumors that the Tiger King star was joining Dancing With the Stars for a while, so this is not that surprising. Although, I guess I’m just really surprised that a fringe Netflix star will be featured on Dancing With the Stars.
Hearing this news, I feel like Erin in The Office when she meets Holly for the first time after hearing all these great things about her. I just don’t get it. I don’t understand why this is happening.
Was there anyone else available? I know Dancing With the Stars is going through a bit of a rebrand, but what is happening?
Dancing With the Stars season 29 cast
There are several Netflix stars competing this season.
In addition to Baskin, the head coach of the Navarro College Cheerleading Team, Monica Aldama, will also be on Dancing With the Stars this season. Navarro Cheer was featured in the Netflix documentary series Cheer, which premiered on the streaming service earlier this year.
Justina Machado, who stars in the former Netflix original series One Day at a Time, has also joined the group of contestants for the new season. Chrishell Stause, from Netflix’s Selling Sunset, will also be competing this year.
Machado, Baskin, Stause and Aldama are the only two contestants affiliated with any Netflix productions competing on the new season of the series.
According to the report, the Netflix trio are joined by Jonny Weir, Katelyn Bristow, Nev Schulman, Jeannie Mai, Jesse Metcalf, Vernon Davis, Nelly, Anne Heche, AJ McLean, Skai Jackson, and Charles Oakley in the new season.
