This is the last chance to watch all eight Harry Potter movies on HBO Max
One of the big things that drew many to HBO Max at first was the inclusion of all eight Harry Potter movies. That’s going to be no more. All eight movies are leaving the streaming service tomorrow.
You’ve got until 11:59 p.m. tonight to watch all eight movies. There’s just enough time if you’re not doing anything today. You’ll want to make it a huge marathon, which I’m sure the kids will love.
If you don’t have time to watch all of them, you’ll want to pick your favorites to stream. Of course, you have to start with the first, right?
By Monday morning, you will need to rely on your DVD and Blu-ray collection to watch the movies.
Where are the Harry Potter movies going next?
Will the Harry Potter movies go to Netflix? That’s been a question we’ve all asked for a long time. The bad news is that’s not going to happen. At least, not any time soon.
Netflix doesn’t have the streaming rights to the movies. With HBO Max, Peacock, and so many other streaming sites, it’s possible that we’ll never see the magical movies on the biggest streaming service of all.
The good news is the Harry Potter movies will stream on another service in the future. They’re all heading to Peacock in the fall. We’re looking at October for the release, where you’ll be able to stream all eight until around April 2021.
After that, who knows where they’ll go. Going back to HBO Max is likely.
However, Harry Potter is a huge franchise. It’s likely that Warner Bros. may want to make the most of the licensing contracts, allowing the movies to go on various streaming services for a month to six months at a time.
We’ll certainly keep an eye out for where the Harry Potter movies will go and whether they’ll ever come to Netflix.
For now, the Harry Potter movies are on HBO Max for one last day.
