Lucifer season 5, episode 6 features a moment Lucifans have long been waiting for!

Chloe and Lucifer are officially together! Or are they? It seems Chloe is having second thoughts. Lucifer season 5, episode 6 starts off shaky, but gives us a satisfying finale!

Ella’s love life is also explored when she meets Pete, a journalist. At first, Pete comes off a little suspicious, but not in a terrible way. It just seems as if he wants someone on the inside to give him scoop, but when he asks her out, we warm up to him. Ella, however, isn’t interested. At least, not yet.

Meanwhile, Maze is trying all she can to deal with her abandonment issues and struggles getting close to people. Let’s recap episode 6, titled “BlueBallz,” by highlighting the top five takeaways.

5 takeaways from Lucifer season 5, part 1: Episode 6

DJ Jed Karnal

Chloe bumps into an old boyfriend, Jed, and Lucifer grows a bit jealous, especially when Chloe doesn’t introduce Lucifer as her boyfriend. Once they’re alone, she tells Lucifer that she’s dated guys at work before and she’d rather not have anyone talking about them before she knows what exactly they are yet.

I’m a bit upset about this. In episode five, they were sure about each other, now it seems as if Chloe is having second thoughts! It doesn’t help when Dan tells Lucifer about Jed and how Dan thinks she may not be over him.

Maze is the new Ella

Guys, Maze is a complex character! You can never stay mad her for too long whenever she does something wrong. You have to remember that she’s not human, she’s a demon trying to understand human emotions and how to deal with it all.

After Linda tells Maze that she needs to have a warmer personality and be more welcoming, Maze pays Ella a visit. Because who is more welcoming than Ella, right?

It’s too funny watching Maze call Ella the wrong name (Ellen) and trying to understand why she’s so happy all the time.

Later in the episode, Maze shows up at the precinct dressed like Ella, hair and all! Maze is too adorable! She thinks that by acting like Ella, she’ll be happy.

Girl’s night

It’s Girl’s Night 2.0! Why don’t we get more of these episodes? Ella and Chloe are at a sting, but Maze calls Linda up for bonding time! They’re looking for a girl with a hearing aid, but have a lot of fun in the process.

Ella and Maze do end up learning a lesson during their girl’s night. Maze makes Ella understand that she doesn’t deserve to date losers, while Maze learns that she won’t find happiness pretending to be nice like Ella. She needs to be herself.

As for Linda and Chloe, they chat about sex and Lucifer. Specifically, sex with Lucifer. It turns out Chloe is intimidated about having sex with the devil, so she asks Linda about it since she’s been intimate with Lucifer plenty of times before (a long time ago). Linda tells Chloe that Lucifer is “above average” and “perfect,” hmmm, that surely didn’t help.

Dan learns the truth

Lucifer and Jed show up at Amenadiel’s place where Dan continues trying to soothe a crying Charlie. Nothing seems to work until Lucifer shows his Devil face.

After learning he has been manipulated by Jed, Lucifer becomes so angry that his Devil face takes over. And what do you know? Charlie loves it! The little baby finally calms down and stops crying.

Just as Dan was leaving, he gets a call from “Lucifer” to come back to the house. From the window, Dan can see Lucifer’s Devil face and freaks out (as anyone would).

We learn it was not Lucifer on the phone, but Michael. He must’ve been watching closely this whole time and purposely called Dan so he would catch Lucifer.

Chloe and Lucifer

The moment all Lucifans have been waiting for! With nothing standing in their way, Lucifer and Chloe finally have their moment. Even a phone call isn’t stopping them this time.

Tell me, Lucifans, was it worth the wait? I think so! It’s hot, it’s romantic, it’s perfect.

Bonus takeaway: I love watching the men bond! Amenadiel and Dan chat about how to swaddle babies and being a dad. We love their friendship.
