It’s time to get ready for more from your favorite vampire hunter. Van Helsing season 4 is heading to Netflix in September.

There isn’t long to wait. Whether you wait for the show to come to Netflix to watch for the first time or you do a rewatch binge, you can check out all 13 episodes of Van Helsing from Sunday, Sept. 27.

This is certainly a jam-packed season. It’s also the penultimate season. Van Helsing season 5 has been confirmed as the final season of the series. Sadly, we’re not getting it this fall, but we’re looking forward to whenever it does arrive.

What to expect in Van Helsing season 4

Without spoilers, the fourth season picks up straight off the back of the third. With Lilian Van Helsing now with her descendant, they need to get out of the universe they’ve found themselves in. Vanessa needs to escape Sam once more.

Vanessa will have to deal with the loss of her sister by her own hands. She was sure she needed to kill Scarlett to unleash the darkness within her. Axel watched as it happened, devastated at the loss of his love. Is there any way the two can reconcile, especially finding out that Vanessa didn’t have to kill her sister after all?

Axel isn’t the only friend who may desert her. The whole group is starting to break apart with their own goals and needs. It’s far more realistic than Buffy’s Scooby Gang sticking together through everything.

The benefit of Lilian being in the future is that there’s a new familial connection. And with new characters, there may be more of that to come.

Speaking of new characters, Van Helsing season 4 brings us the introduction of Dracula herself. Tricia Helfer stepped into the role, and she was just as awesome as we expected her to be!

Van Helsing season 4 is on Netflix on Sept. 27.
