Netflix is adding 26 new movies and shows this week

A new week is here and while we can’t predict everything that will happen, there is one thing we know for sure: Netflix will be adding a bunch of new movies and shows this week. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a new season of a Netflix Original show, a new action-packed Netflix movie with a star-studded cast, or a couple of seasons of anime, the streaming service has something for you.

On Friday, Aug. 14, season 4 of the Brazilian-made dystopian series, 3%, is coming to Netflix. The show features a group of people in a world that’s divided into two parts: the “good” side and the side that’s suffering. The Council gives people the chance to make it to the “good” side by completing various tasks.

But it’s not easy as only 3% make it to the other side. As the seasons go on, rebellion against the Council begins as the people fight for a better life. Season 3 ended with the main group attempting to destroy the Offshore with an EMP.

Check out the trailer for season 4 here but heads up: the English-translated trailer isn’t out yet:

If you’re more in the mood for a new action film, you need to check out Project Power on Friday, Aug. 14. The movie stars Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dominique Fishback, and Courtney B. Vance. It shows a world where a pill gives the user superpowers, but only for five minutes. Sounds cool, right? Well, the pill is not as great as it seems, so a teenage dealer, a cop, and a former soldier team up to take down the organization that created the pill in the first place. This looks so good!

Or are you looking for something now that you’ve watched every episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender? You’re in luck because the follow-up series, The Legend of Korra, is also coming to Netflix on Friday, Aug. 14 and all four seasons will be available. The series follows Avatar Korra as she fights to protect Republic City from the evils of the physical and spiritual worlds.

This week also brings Jake Gyllenhaal’s 2014 film, Nightcrawler, on Monday, Aug. 10, an Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass movie, Safety Not Guaranteed, on Thursday, Aug. 13, and a new series, Teenage Bounty Hunters, on Friday, Aug. 14.
