Best Lucifer episodes: 9. Super Bad Boyfriend

Season 4, Episode 8

This episode is pretty hilarious! In season 4, episode 9, “Super Bad Boyfriend,” Lucifer is desperately trying to get Eve to no longer love him. Or, at least, no longer be attracted to him in the way she is now.

One thing you have to love about the show is how even though some topics are dark, the series never steers too far into said darkness. It always deals with matters with a bit of light. In this case, though we want Eve to back off so Chloe can move back into Lucifer’s life (as she was so close to doing), it’s a lot of fun to see Lucifer sit back and devour snacks, beer, and play video games.

It’s out of his character, so it feels very refreshing while also just as interesting. Unfortunately for Luci, Eve adjusts and does as the Devil does!

Best Lucifer episodes: 8. A Priest Walks Into a Bar

Season 1, Episode 9

We are mixing laughs with tears here and taking things back to the first season. This is one of the first episodes in which we see Lucifer be completely vulnerable. Lucifans get to see Luci’s soft and emotional side.

In season 1, episode 9, he meets Frank Lawrence, a priest and youth counselor. Luci accepts to hide Lawrence in Lux after Lawrence’s life is threatened, but he never imagined actually enjoying his company. When Frank dies, Lucifer is furious and nearly breaks one of his Father’s rules and kills Spider, the person who shot Lawrence to death. Ultimately, he doesn’t kill Spider in honor of Lawrence as Lucifer understands that’s now what Lawrence would have wanted.
