Based on the novel Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan, The Town stars Affleck as Doug MacRay, the leader of a group of bank robbers. When Doug falls in love with his friend James’s (Jeremy Renner) hostage, Claire (Rebecca Hall), his future in criminal activity puts his potential romance with Claire in jeopardy.

The Town comes from actor-director Ben Affleck as the follow-up to his directorial debut Gone, Baby, Gone and a lead-in to his Oscar-winning directorial effort Argo. The film was critically acclaimed and holds a stellar 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. For his performance, Jeremy Renner was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, as well as many additional awards.
