Netflix Top 10: New Netflix movies knock 13 Reasons Why from No. 1 spot

New Netflix movies, Da 5 Bloods and 365 Days, are on the Netflix Top 10

There’s a new No. 1 and No. 2 on the Netflix Top 10 this week. Da 5 Bloods and 365 Days are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. The new Netflix movies knocked 13 Reasons Why from the top spot and back to No. 3.

For those who don’t know, Netflix has an excellent top 10 list to bring light to the most-watched shows and films of the day. It’s a great tool to use to see the newest and most popular choices on the streaming service.

When 13 Reasons Why’s final season came out, it was no surprise that it held the top spot. Now, two new films have knocked it right down to No. 3 on the list.

Da 5 Bloods currently sits at No. 1, and deservedly so.

Da 5 Bloods is a new Netflix original film that follows four American Vietnam vets as they travel back to Vietnam to look for the remains of their squad leader who was killed during the war. They are also in search of a fortune that their squad leader helped them hide. It’s a must-watch on Netflix!

This film is directed and produced by Spike Lee. It stars Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Clarke Peters, Norm Lewis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Mélanie Thierry, Paul Walter Hauser, Jasper Pääkkönen, Jean Reno, and Chadwick Boseman.

Lee took to Twitter to thank everyone for all the support over the years.

The film, 365 Days, which is now sitting in the number two spot on Netflix’s top ten, is a Polish erotic drama film. The film is based on a novel written by Blanka Lipinksa. We could see this develop into a trilogy as Lipinska has written two more books in the series. The second film has already been announced, but filming has been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The film tells the story of Massimo (Michele Morrone), a member of the Sicilian Mafia who abducts a woman, Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka). Laura is visiting Sicily to find happiness in her current relationship.  After she is abducted, she learns that  Massimo will give her 365 days to fall in love with him or she is free to return to Poland to her present unhappy relationship.

Dubbed the Polish version of Fifty Shades of Grey, it is no surprise that it is so popular given the success of that film trilogy.

Knocking 13 Reasons Why out of the top spot is no easy feat. This show is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, so it just shows how popular Da 5 Bloods and 365 Days are right now to be able to take out one of the biggest Netflix shows to date.
