Good Netflix movies to check out, including High Strung Free Dance

You’re likely getting ready for the new drop of Netflix movies on Monday. Before you start looking ahead at this week, there are some great options to check out this weekend.

As usual, there’s something for everyone. Whether you love dance movies or want one of the top releases from 2019, here are the top five movies to check out from May 30 to 31.

High Strung Free Dance

You’ll have to wait until Sunday for this, but it is worth it. The sequel to the 2018 movie Free Dance, this movie follows a young choreographer who wants to put on the greatest show ever. He’s found the perfect dancer, but she’s an unknown. You don’t need to watch the first movie to understand High Strung Free Dance, but there are some references.

I’m No Longer Here

When it comes to the foreign language Netflix movies, you need to check out I’m No Longer Here. This Argentinian movie focuses on a young female immigrant who is left on her own after the death of her brother. There’s a heartfelt message within the sad tale.

The Lincoln Lawyer

Matthew McConaughey stars in this movie as lawyer Mick Haller. He’s made a living defending the rich, and the latest case involves a realtor’s son who is accused of raping a prostitute. Naturally, he believes that his client is innocent. A good defense lawyer has to so they can deliver a promising defense. However, Haller soon realizes that his client may not be as innocent as first believed.

Final Destination

Not a new movie on Netflix but one that’s leaving on Monday, Final Destination is a must for thriller fans. It started a franchise that arguably did get all the more ridiculous as it went on, but the first movie does give some food for thought. Can you really cheat death? That’s what a group of teenagers will try to do. It may not work out so great for them.

Uncut Gems

Finally, it’s all about one of the greatest movies from 2019. Uncut Gems dropped on Netflix at the start of this week, and it’s more than worth the watch. Adam Sandler stars as a charismatic jeweler who makes a high-stakes bet. Should it all go his way, he will land the windfall of a lifetime. But what if it goes wrong?
