Netflix just shared the trailer for a new action film, The Old Guard, coming to the streaming service on July 10.

Charlize Theron stars in the Netflix movie as an immortal mercenary.

From the trailer for The Old Guard, we can see Andromache of Scythia, aka Andy (Theron), and her group of immortals get gunned down only to stand up and fight yet again, showing us they are, in fact, immortal.

Theron stars with Marwan Kenzari, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Luca Marinelli as part of her team, while Chiwetel Ejiofor and Harry Melling seem to be part of the group trying to pursue them.

The film is based on a graphic novel by Greg Rucka. And, Nerdist reports that fans of the graphic novel will have no fear of things not following along as Rucka served as the screenwriter.

As you can see from that trailer, the team is definitely unable to be killed, but it seems there is no lack of people who would like to see them destroyed. The warriors have been around for hundreds of years trying to fight a good fight, sometimes. They are finding it harder to stay anonymous while dealing with 21st-century technologies.

It is no surprise to fans of Theron that she would serve well as the immortal leader of this group. She has proved herself capable of leading an major action films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Atomic Blonde.

Theron is also set to star in Atomic Blonde 2, reprising her role as Lorraine Broughton. And, the next installment of the Mad Max franchise will center around Theron’s character, Furiosa.  But, don’t get your hopes up that Theron will be reprising this role. This film will be centered around a younger Furiosa, so they are searching for a younger actress to portray this character.
