Doom Patrol season 2 is coming to HBO Max in June 2020

The Doom Patrol season 2 release date on HBO Max has been announced! The new season of the acclaimed DC Universe drama will hit HBO Max on June 25!

The second season of DC Universe’s breakout hit Doom Patrol is coming to HBO Max very soon. As revealed by HBO Max, Doom Patrol season 2 will arrive on the upcoming streaming service on Thursday, June 25 — just over a year after the season 1 finale.

Doom Patrol season 1 premiered on DC Universe on Feb. 15, 2019, and instantly became a breakout hit for the DC streaming service. Following its acclaimed first season, Doom Patrol season 2 was quickly ordered allowing the writers to dole out more adventures with DC’s strangest group of heroes.

Months after its renewal, it was announced the second season of the series would become available on both DC Universe and HBO Max. Ahead of the show’s season 2 premiere, HBO Max subscribers will be able to binge the first season of the show when it drops on May 27 — giving viewers just over a month to catch up before Doom Patrol season 2 drops on June 25.

Doom Patrol season 2 is set to pick up directly after the events of the show’s season 1 finale, with the members of the Doom Patrol left trying to find a way to return to their normal selves after their battle with Mr. Nobody. Stuck mini-sized, it sounds like the team will be forced to make themselves at home on Cliff’s toy race car track as they search for a way to grow up, literally and figuratively.

In addition to their size problem, season 2 will also find the team working to process Niles’ betrayal while still workting through their own personal demons. All of this will have to be done while also juggling the arrival of Niles’ daughter Dorothy whose “powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.”
