It’s not every day that Steve Carell returns to television. After starring in The Office for the better part of a decade, the actor pivoted to film work before appearing in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show last year alongside Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. Obviously, fans have been clamoring for more of The Office since the day it left the air, and they will continue to clamor when it leaves Netflix for Peacock. However, Office fans can get their Office fix with Steve Carell’s latest comedy collaboration with Office creator Greg Daniels. Space Force is far and away one of May’s best new shows.

Steven Carell stars in Space Force as General Mark R. Naird, a decorated pilot who had aspirations of someday rising the ranks and running the Air Force. However, the general receives a left turn when he’s called on to lead the new sixth branch of the armed forces: the Space Force. Mark ultimately decides to take on the confusing challenge and moves his family to the base in Colorado. Once settled, Mark and an eccentric bunch of scientists work together to meet the White House’s orders of getting back on the moon and taking over control of space.

Space Force comes from creators Greg Daniels and Steve Carell, who worked together on The Office and clearly created magic. The concept for the series comes from current events, and the creative minds behind Space Force will certainly have commentary aplenty locked and loaded. The first season will feature 10 hilarious episodes and will welcome guest stars such as Jimmy O. Yang, Alex Sparrow, Don Lake, Noah Emmerich, Fred Willard, Jessica St. Clair and Lisa Kudrow. Get ready to laugh when Space Force makes it highly anticipated debut at the end of the month.
