Disney Plus is adding over 45 new movies and shows next month

Disney Plus subscribers looking for something new to watch and enjoy in May 2020 are in luck! The streaming service is set to add more than 45 new movies and shows throughout the month, in addition to dropping new episodes of several Disney Plus original programs.

Headling the service’s new addition are two prominent Star Wars titles arriving on Star Wars Day, aka May 4. We’re of course referring to the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as well as the premiere of the new 8-part docuseries Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, which will take viewers behind the scenes with a look at the creative process of creating the hit series.

Fans can also look forward to the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, giving viewers plenty of options for their Star Wars Day celebration.

Speaking of Disney Plus original content, May will bring with it new episodes of several Disney Plus originals including Be Our Chef, Disney Family Sundays, One Day at Disney, Disney Insider as well as the series premiere of It’s A Dog Life with Bill Farmer.

Those looking for a good Disney Plus original to enjoy during the month can also look forward to the arrival of the complete seasons of Prop Culture and The Big Fib (check out the trailer below).

When it comes to Disney Plus movie releases, the month’s biggest addition comes in the form of the Angelina Jolie led Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Although the sequel didn’t quite reach the same heights as its predecessor, 2014’s Maleficent, it’s a must-watch for subscribers who didn’t make the trip to see the film in theaters.

May will also welcome the arrival of several classics such as George of the Jungle, the Homeward Bound films, John Carter, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Hello, Dolly, and The Princess Bride.
