Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies has chosen Dirty Dancing as its Friday night movie making it the hottest movie on the internet.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner, but they can stream Dirty Dancing on YouTube tonight. Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies will be streaming the 1987 film TONIGHT, April 24, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET and will be hosted by scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis. And, rumor has it, there will be a special appearance by Jennifer Grey who played Baby in the film.

You will be able to stream the movie for free on Lionsgate’s YouTube page as well as Fandango’s Movieclips YouTube page.

Surprisingly, American Film Institute’s Movie Club has also chosen Dirty Dancing for its movie that also airs tonight. The film resides on two of AFI’s lists of great movies, 100 greatest love stories, and 100 greatest Movie Songs for “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” AFI will direct you to a list of streaming services, but there will be a fee for these streaming platforms.

During this time, when movie theaters are shut down, and many people miss a fun night at the movies, Lionsgate and Fandango are giving us a fun night in. And how better to do this than with an entertaining film like Dirty Dancing?

This film was brilliantly cast and included a fabulous soundtrack. Who wouldn’t want to spend the summer in the Catskills with Johnny Castle learning how to dance?

Be sure to check the Netflix series entitled The Movies that Made Us.  One episode focuses on Dirty Dancing and behind the scenes of the story and the creator as well as the cast.

The Netflix synopsis:

"Stepping on toes and tangling with rejection, the women behind this “girls movie” touched millions despite co-star tension and a meager budget."

Fandango and Lionsgate will also be bringing us more movies in the following weeks. On May 1, you can watch La La Land, and on May 8, John Wick. All live streams start at 6 p.m. PT.
