What better Marvel movie to enjoy while bored and looking for a good pastime than Marvel’s Oscar-nominated film Black Panther?!

Following the events of Civil War — more on that Marvel movie soon — Black Panther finds T’Challa returning to his homeland of Wakanda following the death of his father and the events of Captain America: Civil War. In the wake of his father’s death, T’Challa finds himself trying to lead the Wakandan people forward into the future which proves to be easier said than done thanks to Erik Killmonger’s arrival and challenging of the throne.

Black Panther was truly unlike any other Marvel movie released before it. Marvel stepped up its visual effects game in order to bring the technologically advanced world of Wakanda to life, sparing no detail in creating the fictional kingdom.

Then there was the incredible writing and even more incredible performances by the talented ensemble led by Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan. And let’s not also forget the empowering performances from Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, and Letitia Wright, who never failed to steal the spotlight each time they entered the screen.
