10. Sheila and Joel — Santa Clarita Diet

This list is not going to be made up of conventional relationships. More often than not, the troublesome or tricky relationships turn out to be the best. We get the chance to see how TV couples on Netflix come together and stay together; how they can support each other through some of the hardest times.

Shiela and Joel kick off our list, and we definitely see support. After all, SHeila isn’t even human. Not really. She needs to survive by eating human flesh.

In the majority of cases, a husband would walk away. This isn’t the woman he married and there’s this risk that he could end up becoming the next meal. Most men would likely take their children and get out of dodge.

Not Joel. He takes it all in his stride and remains with his wife. He doesn’t want to leave her, knowing that with the right steps, they can make it work. It’s a heartwarming moment to see them.

The best thing that makes this work is that Joel is never kept in the dark. He is there for Sheila while she’s ill and acting strange, and Sheila shares everything she can as she figures things out. They’re a true partnership.
