8. Alex Strangelove

Alex Strangelove was added to Netflix in the summer of 2018. The film stars Daniel Doheny, Antonio Marziale, Madeline Weinstein, Joanna Adler, William Ragsdale, and Daniel Zolghadri. It was directed by Craig Johnson.

The movie tells the story of Alex Truelove, played by Doheny, a teenager who feels he is ready to take a major step with his girlfriend, Claire, played by Weinstein. Alex, then, meets Eliot, played by Marziale, who is openly gay, and Alex starts to question his sexuality.

Alex Strangelove is really good! Check it out this Valentine’s Day!

7. The Kissing Booth

The Kissing Booth is one of the most popular Netflix movies ever! The film premiered on Netflix in 2018 and helped kickstart the “Summer of Love” at Netflix. You’ll find a few movies from that summer on this list.

The film is also based on the book by Beth Reekles. Joey King, Jacob Elordi, Joel Courtney, and  Molly Ringwald star in the Netflix original movie.

In the movie, Elle, played by King, starts to fall for the brother of her best friend, Lee, played by Courtney. Elle and Lee have been friends since they were kids, and they have a set of rules for their friendship. Elle breaks the rules and secretly starts a relationship with Lee’s brother, Noah, played by Elordi. I think you know where things are going from here.

The Kissing Booth 2 is also in the works! And, there’s another book from Reekles coming soon, too!
