Everyone has parent issues one way or another, but boy are we lucky not to have Love and Forty’s parents! You season 2, episode 5 introduces more members of the Quinn family.

Forty and Love’s personality issues are beginning to make more sense, particularly Forty’s.  You season 2, episode 5, “Have a Good Wellkend, Joe!,” introduces Mr. and Mrs. Quinn, and they are an interesting bunch, to say the least.

Spoilers ahead if you are not caught up on the series!

Candace is back! She is very determined to stop Joe from hurting anyone else. We all knew she would return, she’s not one to give up that easily, but who would have thought she’d return as Forty’s new girlfriend? It was a surprise for everyone, even Forty’s overprotective sister Love.

At one point, Joe does confront Candace about her intentions. Candace tells Joe that she wants him to admit he is not a good person and to leave Love before he hurts (or kills) her. Joe thinks she’s crazy, he could never hurt Love. Could he? For now, he’s just going to have to deal with Candace, there is no getting rid of her at this time.

It turns out the reason Forty craves so much attention (and is incredibly obnoxious) is because of daddy issues. How did we not guess this? At his parent’s party, Forty continues to try to get his dad’s interest in a new project. He wants money, though, and Forty’s dad is having none of it.

Their issues escalate to Love’s mother slapping Love right in the face. Forty doesn’t check on her, all he cares is being in his mother’s arms. It seems poor Love is the only one who is looking after everyone. It becomes easy to see why Joe is right for her, all he wants is someone to care for, which is what Love craves.

Of course, we all know Joe isn’t okay mentally. This isn’t going to end well for either. Is Candace right? Will tragedy strike again? Most fans believe it’s only a matter of time. Or, hey, perhaps they are meant for each other. One thing’s for sure, we don’t care to see Mr. or Mrs. Quinn again.
