Although Netflix, HBO, and Hulu have tons of wonderful holiday movies that would entertain the family, Miracle on 34th Street isn’t one of them. The film is streaming on Disney Plus right now. The story takes place in New York City where Doris Walker (Maureen O’Hara) is trying to put the finishing touches on the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. Unbeknownst to her, the Santa she has hired is intoxicated. A nice elderly man who’s real name is Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) has to break the news to her. Walker is in a serious time crunch and hires Kringle to take over as Santa, thinking to let him go later.

However, everyone loves him, and Macy’s is now having him appear regularly in their main store in Manhattan. Unfortunately, Kringle claims to be the real Santa Claus, and much to Walker’s horror, he has convinced her daughter Susan (Natalie Wood) that he is the real Santa as well. That’s when the fun begins.

Is Kringle the real Santa, or is he just a very nice old man with a beard? Well, you will just have to watch this must-see movie and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
