An animated holiday movie?! Yes, please. Thankfully, Netflix’s Klaus gives us just that. This English-language Spanish animated comedy follows the origin story of the myth of Santa Claus. A postman that works in a station to the North becomes friends with a toymaker named Klaus. And from there, we get a wonderful, adorable story.

Klaus not only tells the story of a man changed but inspires viewers with a story about the miracles of Christmas. After given an ultimatum from his wealthy father, the story’s main character, Jesper, must take on new his role otherwise he will be cut off from his family.

Luckily, meeting Klaus changes things for Jesper and helps him accomplish the goal his father set for him. Along the way, Jesper gives birth to the traditions of Christmas and Santa Claus, and the rest, as we say, is history.

Voiced by an all-star cast including Rashida Jones, J.K. Simmons, and Joan Cusack, there’s simply no way Klaus can be missed this winter season.
