2. Klaus
Let’s give the kids a win, too! As enjoyable and full of Christmas spirit as all other movies on this list are, children often need animation to stay engaged. Klaus on Netflix isn’t only engaging, but a lot of fun, as well. And parents, don’t skip this one only because the film is animated, Klaus is fun for audiences of all ages.
Having trouble unlocking that holiday spirit? Klaus is here to assist all young and old. The movie highlights the importance of always being kind to others and it’s guaranteed to make you feel all the nice feels inside.
Unlike most Christmas movies (including a few on this list), Klaus isn’t about saving Christmas or taking care of something before the big day arrives. Instead, the movie follows the beginning of Christmas and how some traditions came to be. Audiences follow Jesper (voiced by Jason Schwartzman), a postman, who meets Klaus (voiced by J.K. Simmons) and comes up with the idea that Klaus should become the Santa Claus we all know and love.
Klaus has a gift, he makes great toys, and with Jesper being a postman, he offers to deliver them for free! It doesn’t take long for word to get around about this and children begin to write letters to Klaus, hoping he will bring them a toy.
You would think this is great for all, as it brings everyone joy and introduces the idea of giving. But, unfortunately, not all of the residents in the small town are happy about this arrangement between Jesper and Klaus. The unlikely duo must fight to keep this tradition going.
