5 best romantic Christmas movies on Netflix

A list of five good romantic Christmas movies on Netflix, including A Christmas Prince, Let It Snow, and more!

Netflix has a great selection of romantic Christmas movies! If you’re short on time this holiday season, you might run into a problem: Which Christmas movie do you watch?

I’m not a huge fan of the romantic Christmas movie, but since Netflix started making them a few years ago, I’ve started to come around. Some of them are really entertaining!

5. The Princess Switch

The Princess Switch is the adult Parent Trap meets A Christmas Prince. Vanessa Hudgens stars in the film.

When Stacy (Hudgens), a baker, travels to Europe for a contest, she meets a princess, Margaret, who looks exactly like her. Stacy and Margaret decided to change places for a few days. Things get crazy when Maragaret’s fiancée, Prince Edward, returns from a trip early!

The Princess Switch is one of Netflix’s most successful holiday movies yet. Netflix ordered the sequel for the film, and it will be available to stream next Christmas. Hudgens is returning, and she’s taking on another role!

4. The Knight Before Christmas

Another Vanessa Hudgens Christmas movie!

The Knight Before Christmas is a little different from The Princess Switch. In the film, Hudgens plays Brooke. When Brooke meets a knight from the 14th century who was sent into the future by a sorceress, things start to get interesting and Brooke and the knight start to fall for each other.

This movie has all the makings of a Christmas classic. Knights, time travel, romance, a far-fetched yet enjoyable plot, and more. I can’t wait for the sequel (although it has not been confirmed!).

3. The Holiday Calendar

The Holiday Calendar is a great Christmas movie and stars Kat Graham, Quincy Brown, Ron C. Jones, and Ethan Peck. The film premiered on Netflix in 2018.

In the film, Abby (Graham) is gifted an advent calendar from her grandfather, played by Jones. The calendar is magic. Whatever Abby gets out of the calendar every day comes true in real life. What will the calendar give her for Christmas?

This movie is must-watch on Netflix this holiday season.

2. Let it Snow

Let It Snow is my favorite romantic Christmas movie on Netflix. It’s basically a small-town, teen version of Love Actually, and the storylines actually make sense, for the most part.

The film is based on the book of the same name by Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle and John Green. The Netflix original movie follows several relationships, romantic and platonic, on Christmas Eve.

This movie has an awesome cast, including Shameik Moore, Isabela Merced, Kiernan Shipka, Mitchell Hope, Liv Hewson, Odeya Rush, Matthew Noszka, Jacob Batalon, D’Arcry Carden and Joan Cusack.

1. A Christmas Prince

There are three Christmas Prince movies on Netflix!

A Christmas Prince tells the story of Amber (Rose McIver), a journalist who goes to Europe to cover the coronation of a prince in the nation of Aldovia, played by Ben Lamb. She meets the prince, and they fall in love. This is their love story.

The second film, which premiered last year, is titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, and the third film, which was added to Netflix this year, is titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.
