Locke and Key is coming to Netflix in February 2020

Locke and Key, a new Netflix series based on the comic book by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, is coming to Netflix in February 2020.

Netflix just announced the release date for its new original series Locke and Key. The new series premieres on the streaming network on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.

Netflix shared the release date along with the key art for the new series. It will definitely get you excited about the Netflix original series! We shared the poster and release date below.

Locke and Key is based on the comic series of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. The story follows the Lockes, a mother and her three children, who move into their family home, which is known as Keyhouse and is full of magical keys, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.

If you’re a fan of the horror/thriller genre, this is going to be an awesome series. There’s so much to like! I’ve always been a fan of the family-moves-into-a-scary-house story, but from what I’ve read about this series, it’s not going to be the typical story. There will be tons of twists and turns throughout the season and series.

Locke and Key has a fantastic cast! Darby Stanchfield, best known for her role in Scandal, plays the matriarch of the family. Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Sherri Saum, Griffin Gluck, Laysla De Oliveira, Petrice Jones, and Thomas Mitchell Barnet also star in the series.

This show should be one of the most popular Netflix shows of 2020, especially considering how popular some of Netflix’s recent horror shows have been. Stranger Things is the biggest show in the world right now. The Haunting of Hill House and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are also super popular, and I think Locke and Key will definitely be mentioned right alongside those shows as some of the top horror/thriller shows on TV.

This show has been in development for a long time. Before it was in the works at Netflix, Hulu and Fox also tried to bring the show to life, but they couldn’t make it happen, according to the EW report.

We haven’t heard if Locke and Key is coming back for season 2 yet, but based on the story and Netflix’s success with stories like this, there’s a very good chance it will happen.
