Is Rick and Morty new tonight, December 1? Find out is Rick and Morty on tonight and if Adult Swim is airing a new Rick and Morty season 4 episode.

Is Rick and Morty new tonight, December 1? With Rick and Morty season 4 having premiered on Adult Swim just a few weeks ago after a two-year break, fans of the series have just gotten used to new episodes every Sunday.

TV listings this week showed that there was supposed to be a fresh installment tonight, too. But if you watched last week, Adult Swim aired a commercial that declared the hit series was taking this week off. So there’s been some confusion, and we can clear that up for you.

The real answer to “Is Rick and Morty new tonight?” is no—if you’ve seen TV listings or websites saying that, it’s wrong. The Adult Swim ad is correct; they’re giving the show the week off. While they haven’t said why, it might be due to the fact this is Thanksgiving weekend. Even though the holiday was on Thursday, many TV networks avoid new episodes anywhere near a holiday as the prevailing wisdom is everyone’s out spending time with their families.

If you’re not one of those, though, you’ve got some relief. Rick and Morty is on tonight! It’s just not new. Adult Swim is using Dec. 1 to let fans catch up on two episodes of this season, the premiere “Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat” and last Sunday’s heist flick “One Crew Over the Crewcoo’s Morty.” That starts at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

So while there isn’t a fresh adventure this week, everyone’s favorite dysfunctional uncle-nephew team are still on TV for anybody who’d rather be watching them than Christmas shopping or eating leftover turkey. New episodes return as advertised on Dec. 8 in the show’s regular time slot, and for more updates, check the TV on Hulu category at Netflix Life.
