7. Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas

Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas is split up into five different segments: Belles on Ice, Christmas: Impossible, Christmas Maximus, Donald’s Gift, and Mickey’s Dog-Gone Christmas.

Belles on Ice begins with Minnie and Daisy competing in an ice skating competition. Daisy seeing the reaction the crowd gives to Minnie because envious and tries to steal the spotlight.

Minnie then goes onto perform some amazing stunts to get the spotlight back from Daisy and Daisy then summons the Fantasia Hippos to be her backup dancers. Minnie, not willing to give up, brings out the crocodiles (also from Fantasia).

Pissed off, Daisy and Minnie start shoving each other and begin to have an ice-skate-off, putting each other at risk. It takes Minnie falling for it all to stop and for Daisy to help her up. Together, they perform a grand finale.

Christmas: Impossible features Huey, Dewey, and Louie celebrating Christmas Eve with Donald and Daisy Duck. At dinner, the boys cause a lot of trouble and assume they’re now for sure on the naughty list. So what do they do? They head to the North Pole to write their names on the good list. When they get to the North Pole, they cause more trouble, but help clean up their mess and save Christmas!

Christmas Maximus is all about Goofy and Max Goof celebrating the holidays. Max, now a young adult, brings his girlfriend home for the holidays. At first, he is wildly embarrassed by his father. It isn’t until he goes for a walk by himself that he comes to appreciate everything Goofy does for him.

Donald’s Gift is about Donald simply wanting what we all want: peace and quiet. Does he get it? Probably not. Donald comes back from grocery shopping only to miss his bus and then when he goes running after it, he’s slowed down by a bunch of carolers. When he finally gets home, he hears the same carol and becomes even more annoyed when Daisy and his nephews come over and want to immediately go out (same, Donald. Same).

They all end up at the mall where Donald hears the same Christmas carol again. Running to what’s supposed to be a quiet room, Donald finds some animatronics singing the carol. Annoyed out of his mind, he destroys them. It’s not until later that he realizes he’s destroying part of a show Daisy and his nephews wanted to see. It takes feeling guilty for him to apologize and get back his Christmas spirit.

The final short, Mickey’s Dog-Gone Christmas, shows Mickey decorating for a Christmas party, but Pluto keeps interrupting him. Pluto even tries to put the star on top of the tree but ends up destroying the decorations.

Angry at his dog, Mickey sends Pluto to his doghouse. Upset at Mickey, Pluto decides to run away and ends up shipped to the North Pole (wow!) where Santa’s reindeer adopt him. When Mickey finds Pluto gone, he posts a bunch of lost dog posters and asks a department store Santa to bring his dog back.

Everything turns out well in the end when Pluto becomes homesick and returns back to his best friend. Everyone celebrates his return at Mickey’s Christmas party.
