A list of five good Thanksgiving episodes to watch on Netflix, including episodes of Friends, Frasier and more!

No holiday is complete without comfort food and comfort shows. If you’re browsing Netflix for some holiday-themed shows to binge with family and friends as you wait for Thanksgiving dinner, never fear!

These five Thanksgiving episodes are guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, and feel thankful for those around you this holiday season.

Friends – “The One With The Football” and “The One Where Ross Got High”

Season 3, Episode 9 and Season 6, Episode 9

Technically, this isn’t one specific episode, but both of these Friends specials are equal contenders for your holiday Netflix binge. “The One With The Football” provides an autumn aesthetic with the gang spending most of their time in a leaf coated park. Monica and Ross bring in their Thanksgiving tradition of playing football and the group divides into a hilarious yet competitive Girls Vs. Boys match.

Meanwhile, “The One Where Ross Got High” has one of the most iconic TV treats – Rachel’s trifle. A beautiful combination of jam, custard, beef, peas, onions, and ladyfingers. As Rachel attempts her dessert, Chandler attempts to impress Monica’s parents over a disastrous Thanksgiving meal.

Jane the Virgin – “Chapter Twenty-Eight”

Season 2, Episode 6

While Jane the Virgin is more of a drama, this savory episode is a great addition to your festive day. While still maintaining its telenovela flare, this episode focuses on family milestones, particularly Jane’s first Thanksgiving with her son.

The episode ends with everyone sitting down for dinner and discussing what they’re thankful for after a challenging year.

Frasier – “A Lillith Thanksgiving”

Season 4, Episode 7

This episode has everything a Frasier fan could want – Frasier back in Boston, him working together with Lillith, and Marty/Niles hijinks.

While silly and fun, this episode is filled with heart. Seeing how much Frasier cares for his son’s wellbeing and watching the whole family come together for one day is enough to make anyone feel sentimental.

Gilmore Girls – ” A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving”

Season 1, Episode 9

If one Thanksgiving isn’t enough, how about four? In this special, Lorelai and Rory attempt to fit in four Thanksgiving dinners all in one day so as not to disappoint the people they love. Each Thanksgiving dinner comes with a different tradition and main dish, which makes for a unique viewing experience.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – “My First Thanksgiving With Josh!”

Season 1, Episode 6

No holiday is complete without a little singing. Our leading lady, Rebecca, attends a family Thanksgiving party held by her crush (Josh Chan) in this musical comedy. Rebecca attempts to impress Josh’s parents and upstage his current girlfriend in between showstopping numbers, colorful costumes, and many hijinks.

No matter what your Thanksgiving traditions are, it’s always nice to curl up on a brisk day with loved ones and a little Netflix. Fill your day with a little extra cheer with these great shows.
