8. Christmas Chronicles

Christmas Chronicles stars Kurt Russell as jolly old Saint Nick and follows a brother, Teddy, and sister, Kate, who are left home alone on Christmas Eve when their mother has to work. They decide to prove that Santa exists by setting up a camera to record. Kate fully believes in Santa but Teddy doesn’t think anything is going to happen. The only reason he helps with the project is that Kate has a video of him stealing a car.

So they set up a tripwire by the fireplace with a bell on the end and place the camera so they can see when/if someone arrives.  And as it turns out, Santa does show up in their living room and Kate sees him. Unfortunately, he leaves before Teddy can take a look. But when they hear something on the roof, they immediately run outside and see Santa and the reindeer floating away.

Wanting to follow him, Kate and Teddy jump into the sleigh and hide. But when Santa realizes they are there, he freaks out and loses control of the sleigh. They all end up in Chicago with a broken sleigh, the reindeer scattered all over the place, and all the presents lost.

So Santa, Kate, Teddy must get the presents and deliver them before the sun rises or all the Christmas Spirit will be gone. Apparently, the last time it happened, it triggered the Dark Ages! So what do they do? They have to get everything delivered before the end of the night!
