Arrow: Emily Bett Rickards will officially return for the series finale

As amazing as Arrow’s final season has been, it’s not been the say without Felicity. That’s changing. Emily Bett Rickards will be in the series finale.

Arrow hasn’t been the same without Felicity, and we knew that was going to be the case. When the show confirmed that it would run its final season, Emily Bett Rickards announced that she wasn’t going to be part of it. That has, thankfully, changed.

Rickards is coming back for the final episode. Recently, the team shared that work on the Arrow series finale had started, and now Stephen Amell confirmed that Rickards would be back. Olicity will be back together again, in some sort of way.

Considering there are threats of Oliver Queen losing his life at the end of all this, Felicity returning is necessary. There’s no way she wouldn’t move Heaven and Earth to be with her man in his dying moments. That’s not saying he’s definitely going to be killed off, but that’s just the way it seems right now. After all, in Star City 2040, we learned that Oliver had died so that history isn’t going to change, right?

The last we saw of Felicity was in 2040. She had left with The Monitor, presuming to be with Oliver, wherever he was. Will we pick up with them there or will we get to see something in the present day between them? That isn’t all that clear just yet. C’mon, they’re not going to spoil it all for us, right?

Amell was like so many of us when it came to Rickards leaving. The Arrow we knew ended with the Season 7 finale. This season has felt different—good or bad, it’s still felt different. Now we get a chance to finish on a high with all our favorite faces in the episodes.
