The Bye Bye Man opens with a man and shotgun going to different houses asking the occupants “if they told anyone,” before he shoots them. Afterward, he drinks poison, and we see a strange creature accompanied by an even stranger beast staring at the man. The man says, “I’m stopping you right here and right now” before collapsing dead onto the kitchen floor.

This is another movie that stands on its special effects rather than blood and guts. It slowly builds in suspense throughout the film.

In the movie, three students move into a house together where strange and sinister things begin to happen because one unbelieving youngster said “Its” name out loud.

The Bye Bye Man features a good cast, and it’s a great movie to watch this Halloween.
