In The Tall Grass is a Netflix original movie part of their 2019 Netflix and Chills lineup for Halloween. The film was just added to Netflix last month.

Based on the combined works of Stephen King and his son, Joel Hill, In The Tall Grass follows a brother and sister on their way to San Diego. They stop in front of a church because the sister, Becky, is ill. Shortly after, they hear a boy calling from a field of tall grass. It seems the boy, Tobin Humbolt, went into the grass along with his parents and now is lost and can’t find his way out. Becky and her brother, Cal, go into the tall grass to find Tobin and wind up getting lost their selves.

This is where the plot thickens and events take a turn to the weird and Rod Sirling would say, “You have now entered the Twilight Zone.” Nothing is what it seems.

King seems to love taking normal everyday people and sticking them into the middle of the most outrageous scenarios. Then, we sit back and watch them work their way out, or not. His characters reveal the best of themselves, but sometimes, they reveal their worst sides in these extreme situations.
