As part of Netflix and Chills, the streaming service will also be premiering the original film, Rattlesnake. The movie was written and directed by Zak Hilditch, the mind behind Netflix’s adaptation of Stephen King’s 1922.

Rattlesnake focuses on a single mother named Katrina (Ejogo) who goes into a panic after her young daughter, Clara (Pratt), is bitten by a rattlesnake after the pair’s car breaks down. Katrina and Clara are in the middle of nowhere but a mysterious woman offers to save the girl’s life but at a price. As part of the offer, Katrina must kill a stranger now that the woman saved her daughter.

The psychological horror is set to release Oct. 25 on Netflix. It will play on a multitude of genres as the lead character’s ethics are put into question. Carmen Ejogo is quite capable of leading a film due to her previous performances in films such as Selma, Alien: Covenant, It Comes At Night, and the Fantastic Beasts franchise. This year’s Netflix and Chills is shaping up to be an unforgettable viewing event for horror fans this Halloween season.
