Little Evil is Eli Craig’s second title on the list of recommendations following the past project, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. His more recent movie is also a comedic take on horror subgenre. Little Evil served as a parody of the 1976 classic supernatural horror, Omen.

The film follows Gary Blooms (Scott) and his struggles as a parent after he marries Samantha (Lily). His new stepson, Lucas (Atlas), is a bit cold towards Gary but his behavior starts to take a dark turn. Lucas lashes out at his teacher before she mysteriously dies. Following the boy’s erratic behavior, Gary begins to think that Lucas might be a demon. Matters become more complicated when Gary finds out that Samantha has a history with a cult.

Little Evil‘s stellar cast is reason enough to give it a chance. The film received great reviews, crediting it for the dark comedy presented throughout the storyline. The deeper narrative about the relationship between and father and his son was also a bright spot of the movie.
