5. Supernatural

Is there any other show more obviously made for Halloween than Supernatural? Demons, monsters, shapeshifters, vampires, ghosts, angels, and the literal devil. What more could you ask for on the spookiest day of the year? While a full series marathon is probably out of the question (they are going into season 15 after all), going through a season or two is a must!

There really is no better way to spend Halloween than with a bag of candy and a couple of episodes of Sam and Dean fighting off the latest monster. And if it’s an episode with Bobby or Crowley aka the King of Hell? Even better.

If you haven’t seen even one episode (where have you been?), the show follows brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, as they travel the country to hunt down every type of paranormal creature creating havoc across the United States.

They started this journey because their mother was killed by a demon when they were small and their father made it his mission to find and kill it.

While looking for this specific demon, they help people who are dealing with supernatural occurrence. Everything from an evil clown to a shapeshifter turning itself into people to do its deeds to Lucifer himself. If your parents ever told you a story about some urban legend or myth, Sam and Dean have probably fought it.

But the brothers don’t always win. It’s hard to count how many times Sam and Dean have died over the past 14 seasons. Luckily, there is always a new and creative way for them to come back to life. The twists and turns might become more and more bizarre as the seasons go on, but if nothing else, you’ll be entertained.

All 14 seasons are available on Netflix to stream right now!
