6. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

This list would not be complete without a witch show and what better series than the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Witches, black cats, the devil, and all sorts of magic. It’s everything spooky Halloween stands for and is the perfect show to watch on Halloween.

While the show from the 90s was more of a sitcom than a spooky show, this new incarnation for Netflix is much scarier. That being said, the premise is still the same. Sabrina Spellman is half-witch, half-mortal and must figure out what combination of those two things she wants to be all while numerous villains threaten her, her family, and the world.

The first season follows Sabrina as she struggles to decide whether she should go through her dark baptism all while dealing with three sister witches she goes to witch school with who bully her for being half witch and half human. But the decision is not so difficult as she thought once it comes time to go through with it. Sabrina says no to her baptism and then is attacked by the Dark Lord and his minions.

The second season starts with Sabrina fully committing to the Academy of Unseen Arts, but still fighting off the Dark Lord who is trying to make her bend to his will. Additionally, while she doesn’t go to school with her friends anymore, she does continue to help them using her magic. Sabrina starts a relationship with her classmate Nick but his familiar, Amalia (a werewolf) makes things difficult (as you can imagine)

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 1 and 2 are both available on Netflix. We’re still hoping we see new episodes by Halloween 2019.
