The Ranch has added another That ’70s Show star to the cast! Kurtwood Smith, who played Red Forman in the hit series, has joined the cast of Part 7.

We have some good news for fans of The Ranch and That ’70s Show!

Kurtwood Smith, who starred as Red Forman in That ’70s Show, has joined the cast of the Netflix original series for Part 7. Smith made an appearance in the new trailer for The Ranch Part 7, coming to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 13.

According to a report from Pop Culture, Smith plays Sam Peterson, a neighbor of the Bennetts. He’s not in the trailer for long, but he does deliver one of the biggest laughs of the trailer. I think it’s probably the funniest line in the whole trailer.

As Colt is sharing all of his troubles, woes and everything that’s happened to him in the last year or so (Abby leaving, Luke, the ranch, etc.), Smith’s character hits Colt with a perfectly timed “God, your life blows.”

From the look of the trailer, it also looks like a few cast members from Part 6 will also be back for the new episodes. Dax Shepard, who plays Luke Matthews in the series, also made an appearance in the trailer. Kathy Baker, who plays Joanne, will also be back for Part 7.

This won’t be the first That ’70’s Show reunion on The Ranch. As many recall, Danny Masterson, who played Hyde in the hit comedy series, also starred in the Netflix series. He was fired from the Netflix show after an investigation into sexual assault allegations.

Wilmer Valderrama also starred in The Ranch earlier in the show’s run. Debra Jo Rupp joined the cast later. I have a feeling fans want to see Mila Kunis and Laura Prepon in the show, as well, but I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon (if ever!).

There are only a few more episodes of The Ranch left after Part 7 premieres. Netflix decided the show will end after Part 8, which also consists of 10 episodes. It will be released on the streaming service sometime in 2020.

You can watch That ’70s Show, along with the previous seasons of The Ranch, on Netflix right now.
