Netflix shared the release date and teaser trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie starring Aaron Paul. The film premieres on Oct. 11.

Your first look at the new Breaking Bad movie is here! Netflix shared the teaser trailer and the release date for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie starring Aaron Paul. The Netflix original film premieres on Netflix on Oct. 11, 2019.

For months, there have been rumors circulating that even included Better Call Saul  star, Bob Odenkirk, stirring the pot earlier this week by mentioning that the Breaking Bad movie had already been filmed, according to a report from Digital Spy. Saturday morning finally gave validation to these rumors when a screen grab leaked that seemed to reveal the placeholder page on Netflix.

Well, Saturday afternoon did indeed prove Bob and the leak accurate with the release and the official confirmation for the upcoming Breaking Bad movie. Not only has filming already been completed, but the title and release date has also now been revealed.

Aaron Paul is set to return as series favorite, Jesse Pinkman, who, based on the trailer, appears to be on the run from his captors, the law, and his past. Fans of the series will remember that Jesse’s fate was left open in the series finale, with Jesse fleeing in Todd’s El Camino to places unknown.

Check out the trailer below!

While fans have been getting their Breaking Bad fix in the form of the excellent prequel series, Better Call Saul, this is the first continuation of the hit series to feature characters and events after the series finale, “Felina,” which aired back in 2013.

The teaser trailer features Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) in an interrogation room answering questions on the whereabouts of Jesse Pinkman, with Pete recapping to the officers the conditions from which Walter rescued Jesse during the series finale.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, not only sees the return of Paul, but also the return of Vince Gilligan as the writer and director of the feature film. At this time, no other cast members or story hints have been revealed.

The teaser trailer looks promising and instantly triggers the nostalgia for seeing this universe and its characters again. However, with Breaking Bad being one of the most beloved shows in recent memory and with one of the greatest series finale off all time, it’s a bold move for Gilligan and Paul to tap back into perfection. Thankfully, the wait to see if they can pull off a satisfactory continuation won’t be long as El Camino debuts in a little over a month.
