Disney+ has released the first official look for their upcoming holiday movie Noelle starring Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader.

After Netflix, it looks like Disney+ is also getting ready to go and set camp into Hallmark’s territory of holiday movies. Disney+ gave fans the first official trailer of their upcoming holiday movie Noelle which stars Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader last night and by the looks of it, you should certainly chill back in your couch and stream this movie during the holidays.

In the trailer, Noelle, Santa’s daughter, is going on a rescue mission to find her brother so that they can save Christmas and keep the family business intact. The movie is in the capable hands of Kendrick who plays Noelle, with Hader co-starring as her brother alongside Billy Eichner, Shirley MacLaine, and Julie Hagerty.

The movie was originally announced back in early 2017 and was actually slated for a November theatrical release. But, with the plans of the streaming service’s launch kicking in, the movie was pushed to the streaming service to be one of the first original titles of Disney+ upon its launch.

Noelle looks more like a TV movie and with more blockbuster movies coming to theatres in the season where Noelle could have easily gotten lost, the move to streaming seems clever. Even though with the feels of a TV movie, it stills looks a whole lot of fun and its lighthearted tone fits perfectly with the holiday season. It is certainly going to attract the family audience with the promise of winter fun and Christmas magic and if all goes well, it could be Disney’s very own The Christmas Chronicles.

The film is written and directed by Marc Lawrence who is known for comedies like The Out-of-Towners remake, Miss Congeniality, and Two Weeks Notice.

Noelle will be streaming in Disney Plus with its launch on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
