Alaska: Mind Flayer (Stranger Things)

“He likes it cold.”

Is there any better place for the Mind Flayer to hide out than Alaska? It’s cold most of the year and with a smaller population, it can take over the state in a matter of weeks (sorry, Alaska!).

If season 3 of Stranger Things showed us anything, it’s that the Mind Flayer does not enjoy a hot and humid climate. The sauna scene got that across pretty clearly. While it’s not exactly icy all year round, Alaska will provide it with the cool temperatures it prefers.

And why couldn’t there be multiple gates/portals throughout America? Alaska would be the best place to have a gate to the Upside-Down that no one knows about. The Mind Flayer could come into our world undetected and grow its army in Alaska. It could then move from state to state as its army (along with a few Demodogs) got bigger and bigger.

Forget climate change, nuclear weapons, or an asteroid. The Mind Flayer will end up being our downfall! It isn’t our elections the Russians want to infiltrate, it’s the Mind Flayer in the West coast!

The only way to save us all is if there is a Will, a Mike, a Lucas, a Dustin, a Joyce, an Eleven, an Erica, and/or a Hopper to fight off the evil creature before it gets too big to be contained. There’s got to be some heroes in Alaska, right?

Citizens of Alaska, keep your eye out for people acting strangely. They may have been flayed!

All jokes aside, if the Mind Flayer was real, Alaska would be like a vacation for it. The only place better would be the Arctic.
