Season 2’s mid-season finale of Light As A Feather answers a lot of questions viewers have had since the beginning of season 2 but the episode also ends on a cliffhanger. The remaining episodes will begin streaming on October 2019.

The latest episode of Hulu’s Light As A Feather took us by surprise as it ended on another major cliffhanger. Season one used a similar ploy for its’ end but Season 2 stands out when we take into consideration that Episode 8 “White As A Ghost” is the mid-season finale. LAAF’s sophomore season is scheduled to return later this year in October; an exact date hasn’t been announced.

As for the events which transpired in Season 2, Episode 8, there was quite a bit to take away from the episode. For one, audiences finally learned the cause behind McKenna’s random blackouts.

Warning! Spoilers for the latest episodes of LAAF follow. Read on at your own discretion.

As it turns out, McKenna’s dead sister Jenny was possessing her sister’s body every time she fell asleep. Episode eight “White As A Ghost” begins with Trey and McKenna realizing they need to find Sammi after Jenny leaves Trey’s ex-girlfriend for dead. They quickly mount a search for Sammi, finding her locked in an icebox. Trey and McKenna then have the difficult job of explaining that Jenny was responsible for all the terrible mishaps following McKenna’s blackouts.

On that end of McKenna’s fight, she and her friends follow a trail back to Magaret Abbot’s home where some rather interesting developments come to light.

Peri, Alex, and McKenna manage to find Margaret’s address through online investigators which brings them some answers. Margaret isn’t very welcoming to her visitors but explains how she survived. She apparently played the game twice, ending the cycle with her second round.

During the first game, Margaret was the last living survivor. Then when she played the second time, she went to a hospital with a lot of dying patients in it. She states the presence of imminent death satiated the curse’s thirst and was later released from the curse’s grasp. The truth, however, isn’t so cut and dry.

While Margaret gives McKenna hope of ending the curse, she’s definitely hiding something from these young kids. The reason we know Margaret isn’t being forthcoming is that she has Henry locked away in a room. He disappeared during the season one finale and now we know where he wound up.

When Henry reappears, he’s brandishing a scraggly beard and definitely looks worse for wear. There’s no telling who else is involved but Margaret obviously has something to do with Henry’s capture. The other concern we have is the possibility of Margaret having lied to McKenna about how she stopped the curse. For all we know, Margaret is the curse’s progenitor.

Whatever the case may be, McKenna and her friends are bound to run into Margaret again. They ended season two with another game of Light as a Feather, Stiff as a board, which means the group will once again face this deadly curse. Margaret factors into this dilemma because she presumably possesses more information than she’s led us to believe. We just have to wait for McKenna and her friends to come to this conclusion too.
