Wentworth season 7 is coming to Netflix next week

The wait is almost over! Wentworth season 7 is finally coming to Netflix next week with ten all new-episodes full of twists, turns and violence!

Have you been counting days till your favorite Australian show hits Netflix? Well, the prison drama we all love is all set to premiere on the streaming giant this July 31, 2019, in the US. Other regions, however, have to wait longer to catch Wentworth season 7.

Starring Leah Purcell, Celia Ireland, Katrina Milosevic, Robbie J Magasiva, Tammy Macintosh, Kate Jenkinson, Bernard Curry, Rarriwuy Hick, Susie Porter and Kate Atkinson, Wentworth season 7 premiered on Showcase on May 28 and will be airing its last episode on July 30, moving forward to Netflix.

While other seasons of the show had 12 episodes each, season 7 only consists of 10 and is set few months after the events of the previous season’s bloody finale. Rita and Marie will take their feud further and we can’t wait to watch the drama unfold!

First broadcasted in 2013, Wentworth has always received positive feedback from critics and love from fans. In fact, the first episode of the show was watched by people on such a big extent, that it currently sits on the throne of being the most-watched Australian series in Foxtel’s history.

Season 7 is no different and since the buzz around the show is ever-growing, Foxtel is already talking about a season 8! And, to celebrate Wentworth’s success, the eighth installment of the franchise will have 20 whole episodes, get ready to binge!

Foxtel announced season 8 and gave other details in a press release:

"Wentworth has captivated audiences in Australia and all over the world with its gritty nail-biting storylines, remarkable performances by an extensive ensemble cast and high production values. The commissioning of these additional episodes will see it reach an extraordinary 100 episodes”."
