It’s a bird, It’s a plane, no wait! It’s two Supermans. That’s right, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh both are set to portray Superman in Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths.

During the last Arrowverse crossover “Elseworlds,” Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman got to meet Grant Gustin’s The Flash and Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow. It was the same crossover that introduced us to Ruby Rose’s Batwoman and set the stage for Arrowverse’s biggest crossover and Arrow’s end game, “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

And as this year’s crossover is even bigger, Deadline just broke the news that two actors, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh, will both be reprising the role of the Man of Steel in this year’s crossover. The news is expected to be officially revealed at Comic-Con on Saturday.

Tyler and Brandon both are already a member of the Arrowverse, Tyler has recurred as Superman in Supergirl and Brandon plays Ray Palmer aka The Atom on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Both actors have already played Superman as Brendon Routh also suited up as the iconic character in 2006 movie, Superman Returns.

More: Emily Bett Rickards leaving Arrow ahead of final season.

They are said to be reprising their roles as Superman at different times and it is still not clear who will appear in which episodes. Routh will also appear as his character from Legends in the crossover.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will include all the Arrowverse shows, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and the newcomer Batwoman. The crossover will be five hours long and is spread within two quarters with three episodes airing in December and two in January.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will also mark the end of the show that started the entire Arrowverse, Arrow. It is gonna be an emotional time for us fans but we can already see it being super epic. The showrunners have promised some more epic news related to Crisis during the panels.
