We have a few questions after watching “Chapter Seven: The Bite” of Stranger Things 3. After this, there’s only the Stranger Things 3 finale. Spoilers ahead!

“Chapter Seven: The Bite” is the most intense episode of Stranger Things 3 so far. We have a few questions after watching the episode, and they have been shared below.

There are spoilers ahead! Do not continue until you have finished Stranger Things 3’s penultimate episode.

What’s wrong with Eleven?

We saw Eleven get bit by the Mind Flayer’s monster early in the episode while fighting off the monster in the cabin. At the grocery store, we see the blood from her wound start to boil. We’ve only seen this when people are infected by the Mind Flayer. It looks like Eleven has been infected.

As the episode ends, Eleven screams and collapses in pain. I don’t think she’s fully possessed by the Mind Flayer yet. She wasn’t attacked like Billy and the rest of the Flayed were, but this could be really bad. Hopefully, they’ll be able to save Eleven before it’s too late.

It’s funny that this is the episode called “The Bite.” When Stranger Things announced the episode titles for the season, and even though some were changed later, we all thought “The Bite” was referring to Billy’s bite on his arm. We were so wrong.

Have we seen a better reunion in this show?

Scoops Troop is in serious danger after trying to leave the Starcourt Mall. They are surrounded by Russians. At exactly the right moment, Eleven returns with the rest of the Hawkins Heroes and saves them. This a great moment as the Scoops Troop and the rest of Team Hawkins comes together.

Only Eleven’s return at the end of Stranger Things 2 could be considered a better reunion for these characters. And, I think that probably was in the moment. I mean, only Hopper knew Eleven was alive at that point, so that return was much more impactful.

The joy these characters show when they all reunite is so awesome! This is one of my favorite moments in the season so far.

How will the Hawkins Heroes stop the monster and close the Upside Down?

I have a few theories, but they all seem like a longshot, especially if Eleven is severely injured.

Obviously, someone has to finish Alexei’s plan and shut down the machine that’s keeping the Upside Down open. That’s the top priority.

As Mike said earlier in the season, even if they are able to save Billy and get rid of the Mind Flayer, it’s not going to kill it. It will always be able to come back until they remove its presence from Hawkins. Closing the gate is the only way to do that right now, and it’s not going to be easy.

On top of that, the monster is still out there, and I highly doubt it’s just going to let them hide in the mall, especially when the last episode is called “The Battle of the Starcourt.”

Isn’t Robin the best?

The scene with Steve and Robin in the bathroom was also one of my favorite moments of this season so far. Robin had a chance to shine in this episode, and it really showed the bond between Robin and Steve. If they can get through this, there is a great friendship here.

Maya Hawke is so awesome in this season. I’m hoping Robin survives so we can see more of her in the near future!
