The first trailer for Hulu’s Wu-Tang series is finally here! Take a look at the official trailer for Wu-Tang: An American Saga below.

Originally inspired by the Wu-Tang Manual, Hulu’s original series entitled Wu-Tang: An America Saga will explore how the Clan came to be. The rap group started out on the streets of New York in the 1990s, becoming one of the most influential names in the game in no time flat.

In Wu-Tang: An American Saga, audiences will witness how the well-known rap group went from being hustlers on the street to rap legends, starting at the very beginning. Each member gets their time to shine, though much of Hulu’s series appears to center around Bobby Diggs aka The RZA. The official trailer for Wu-Tang: An American Saga proves so, and then some.

From what we can tell in the trailer, Wu-Tang: An American Saga is going to chronicle the RZA’s life as he assembles his Clan. The main problem Bobby Diggs (Ashton Sanders) encounters is bringing these wayward souls together when the streets are driving them apart.

Glimpses at the cast portraying younger versions of the Clan show them in their neighborhoods, working to put food on the table. They’re not working nine-to-five jobs as we’d expect them to be but they’re making ends meet any way possible. And while that’s not beneficial to their own wellbeing, Raekwon, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Inspectah Deck’s paths never would’ve intersected had their lives been any different.

Fortunately, Bobby Diggs is determined to gather his Clan together despite the hurdles in their way. He’ll obviously struggle with some of the antagonists in his life but the rest of Wu will be there to offer their support. Not everyone is as altruistic as The RZA, though their collective goal is bound to play a significant factor in how they become legends.
