The season five premiere of Fear The Walking Dead is fast-approaching, and the plot only seems to be thickening with new character arrivals. Continue reading for more details about the new kids on the block.

Warning! Potential spoilers for the upcoming season of Fear The Walking Dead follow. Read on at your own discretion.

With the premiere of Fear The Walking Dead Season 5 less than a month away, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see that AMC is releasing more images and clips. The first trailer teased Morgan’s group venturing into a new land but it didn’t make the identities of their newfound comrades known.

Now, however, a batch of recent images has given names to the new kids who’ll be joining Luciana, Alicia, Victor, Charlie, and the others in season five. Mind you that the cast of FTWD is growing—and we all know what happens to groups of survivors when they expand—so this doesn’t bode well for their collective futures.

In any case, the new kids seem to be part of a larger group. The season five trailer provided us with a glimpse at them but their identities and location remain unknown. Fortunately, we’ll be introduced to them early into the season.

The first of these teens is Annie (Bailey Gavulic). She’ll appear in the season premiere when Morgan’s team runs into a roadblock of sorts. The trailer depicts them stopping at the row of cars which seem to have warning signs on them. Annie pops up from behind one and explains that they’ve stumbled into the wrong area.

What’s interesting are the signs on the cars themselves. There are actually two types of signs posted here—one is painted on the cars themselves while the others are printed signs. They consist of warnings for contaminated zones and may have been printed during the early days of the apocalypse. But if they were from before, that could mean the area they’re traveling to will have radioactive fallout in the air. Luckily, Morgan’s group can be seen taking refuge alongside a couple of other young guys.

In addition to Annie, we also have Dylan (Cooper Dodson) and Max (Ethan Suess) joining them. Keep in mind that they are just two of the kids who’ll be introduced in the upcoming season of FTWD—it actually looks like these kids could be on their own.

While it’s still too early to say, there’s a good chance that Annie, Dylan, Max, and their friends are living on their own. We don’t see any adults around them so odds are that all their parents died defending the settlement. Enid’s parents left their daughter in a similar situation and she managed to survive. Perhaps the kids that Morgan and company encounter wound up the victims of similar circumstance.

On the other hand, the kids’ parents could be staying in a different compound. The undead world has already given way to all kinds of deranged people, what’s to say these survivors haven’t rid themselves of the weak—the children? They are the quickest to become zombie-bait, maybe one faction decided to abandon their offspring. It’s difficult to picture happening but the crazy never ceases to amaze us on Fear The Walking Dead.
