Teen mysteries are the new soap operas, and they’re all the rage right now with the success of Riverdale and so many more. Based on this trend, there are probably even more on the way soon, so you better catch up with these good Netflix shows until there are even more to stream.

Let’s get the list started with the MTV series Scream!

6. Scream

If you’re a fan of horror shows, Scream is the teen pick for you on Netflix right now! There are two seasons of the series, and they wrap up the full story, so you don’t have to worry about not finding out what happened, exactly, like you do with some horror shows.

Scream is based on the horror film of the same name from 1996. The show and film have a lot of similarities, but they also have some key differences that fans of movie will enjoy in the TV series.

The series premiered on MTV in 2015 and ran for two seasons through 2016. The show was supposed to come back for a third season, but we haven’t heard what is happening with that season. It was supposed to an anthology of sorts and tell a different story with a different cast.

In addition to Scream, the TV series, you can also watch the first Scream movie, as well as Scream 4 on Netflix right now. The movies were just added to the streaming service at the beginning of May 2019. Here’s to hoping they stick around for a while!
