Even though the vast majority of movies on Netflix are either new or have release dates from the last 10 years, every now and again you find a true classic waiting to be rediscovered. This month, the streaming giant adds one such classic to its lineup for all the film buffs out there wanting something more from their watch list. All the President’s Men comes to your watch list in April, and given our current political climate, its arrival seems very on the nose.

Based on Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward’s 1974 nonfiction book of the same name, All the President’s Men centers on the Watergate scandal during the presidency of Richard Nixon from the eyes of two Washington Post reporters, Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Robert Redford). The rivals team up to research the failed burglary of the Democratic Party Headquarters and with the help of mystery informant Deep Throat (Hal Bolbrook), they make a connection in the case that leaves them following the money to the top.

All the President’s Men received mostly positive reception from critics upon release, holding a stellar 93% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was also a box office hit, making over $70 million against a meager $1 million budget. At the Academy Awards, the film earned eight nominations, including Best Picture. Ultimately, the film walked away with four wins. If you’re into classic films, you don’t want to miss this ’70s favorite when it hits Netflix at the top of April.
